Professor Tejraj Aminabhavi, presently the Associate Editor of Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier, New York), in addition to his duties as International Advisory Board Membership of Journal of Applied Polymer Science (Wiley, New York) and Polymer Plastics Technology and Engineering (Wiley, New York). Presently, he is the AICTE Emeritus Fellow and Research Director. Dr. Aminabhavi received the prestigious 18th Nikkei Asia award (2013) from Japan and 22nd Khwarizmi International award in 2009 from the President of Iran for his valuable contributions in the area of Applied Polymer Science.
Dr. Aminabhavi obtained his Ph.D from the University of Texas, Austin, USA in 1979 and has collaborated with many universities in USA, Korea, France, Taiwan and United Kingdom. He has worked as a scientific advisor to Reliance Life Sciences, Mumbai during 2007-2011. Dr. Aminabhavi was consultant to industries like BHEL, GSFC (Gujarat), 3M and DuPont. He served as a member of Program Advisory Committee, Department of Science and Technology, CSIR and UGC on research funding.
Dr. Aminabhavi has worked with two Nobel Laureates in the US and many professors from all over the world. He has published 600 research papers that received world-wide citations of more than 16,500 with an H index of 60. His book on Polymer Science published by Wiley, New York, has received the world-wide recognition. Dr. Aminabhavi has guided more than 40 Ph.D students and organized the American Chemical Society Southwestern Zonal Meet on Polymeric Nanoparticles in Gene Delivery in Texas, USA during 2011.
